Chocolate Covered Strawberries with Strawberry Crumble

Ingredients

  • 2 pints fresh strawberries
  • 1ΒΌ cups freeze-dried strawberries
  • 2 cups 60% bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions

  • Wash and dry two pints of fresh strawberries and set aside.
  • Next, place freeze-dried strawberries in a resealable baggie and crush with a rolling pin. Set aside.
  • Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in a double boiler or microwave until smooth and glossy. Set aside.
  • Dip strawberries into the chocolate, then place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Sprinkle the berries with crush freeze-dried strawberries and repeat until all of the strawberries have been prepared.
  • Let strawberries sit on the countertop or place in the refrigerator or freezer to harden before serving. Enjoy!
