Hot Cocoa with Peanut Butter

Hot Cocoa with Peanut Butter Mix

Nothing goes together better than chocolate and peanut butter, so why not combine the two the next time you drink a mug of hot cocoa?  My son loves this hot drink, especially after a day of playing in the snow or sitting by the fire on one of our summer camping trips.  Whatever your adventure, give this cocoa mix a try. It’s easy to pre-make and store in a glass jar, ready to go whenever the mood strikes.

To make, grab a pint-sized mason jar with lid and ring.  Fill the jar with ½ of a cup of Dutch-processed cocoa, ½ of a cup of granulated sugar and ¼ of a cup of peanut butter powder.  Seal the jar and shake to combine. Your cocoa mix is complete!

To make the hot cocoa, simply scoop 3-4 tablespoons of Hot Cocoa with Peanut Butter Mix into a mug and top with steaming hot milk or milk substitute.  Stir to combine and enjoy!  This recipe makes about 6 mugs of cocoa. Double the recipe if serving a crowd.
